Welding is an integral part of ESM’s manufacturing capabilities, with MIG/MAG welding performed using robotic systems, welding manipulators and manual welding processes. Welding activities are carried out in accordance with the requirements of ISO 3834, ensuring controlled processes, consistent quality and reliable product performance.
Process Control
ESM welding operations are supported by an International Welding Engineer (IWE), particularly for projects classified under EXC 2 according to EN 1090-2. The IWE oversees welding procedures, qualifications and quality control to ensure compliance with applicable welding requirements and customer specifications.
Defines the proposed welding parameters and conditions before qualification.
Documents the results of qualifying a welding procedure.
Confirms the qualification of individual welders.
Records the qualification testing of welding procedures.
Formal approval of welding procedures for production use.
These procedures, qualifications and records support traceability, process control and consistent welding quality throughout production.
