Product Development & Sampling

Reverse Engineering & Product Development Process

At ESM, product development is supported by a practical reverse engineering process based on customer samples and product requirements. Physical samples are analyzed to understand their design, dimensions, materials and manufacturing requirements. Based on this analysis, ESM prepares detailed 2D or 3D drawings for customer review and approval.

Following approval, samples are produced and evaluated through testing and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA). The results are used to verify the product design, identify potential risks and finalize the product for series production.

Process Steps

  1. Step 01: Customer Request. The customer submits a sample or product development request, including available specifications and requirements.
  2. Step 02: Feasibility Assessment. ESM evaluates the technical and manufacturing feasibility of the requested product.
  3. Step 03: Checklist Sample Control. The physical sample is inspected and analyzed.
  4. Step 04: Design & Test Report. Based on the analysis, ESM prepares 2D or 3D concept drawings and documents the relevant findings and test results.
  5. Step 05: Approval by Customer. The drawings and proposed product specifications are submitted to the customer for review and approval.
  6. Step 06: FMEA Analysis. Approved samples are produced and evaluated. A Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) is performed before release for production.
